W Doha Hotel & Residences is hosting yet another eclectic art exhibition titled “The Unreachable Mirage” by Qatar’s award-winning artist, Masoud Rashid Albulushi at ART29. The latest addition to ART29 will take art lovers on a journey of discovery; “Unreachable Mirage” will feature a selection of paintings that weave a blend of traditions in a contemporary manner. The opening reception for the showing took place on February 8th, 2020 and will remain open to the public until March 8th, 2020 from 10 am until 10 pm daily.
The paintings present intricate techniques reflecting an abstract interpretation of reality and visitors to ART29 will be able to experience Masoud’s journey and unfold the many stories behind his dazzling works of art. Commenting on his exhibition, Masoud Rashid Albulushi said: “Unreachable Mirage truly reflects the concept of art as an international language, bringing people together and overcoming differences. Exhibiting at ART29 is not just about showcasing my work but has also enabled me to share my thoughts, passions and perceptions of the world. I am really looking forward to taking art lovers through a journey that will bring together the community for the sake of art.”

Masoud, a member of the Qatar Fine Arts Association and the Souq Waqif Art Center, has showcased his work in solo exhibitions including ‘Behind the Dark’ at Souq Waqif in 2011 and ‘Al That’ at Katara in 2013. He is no stranger to the art scene as his art has been displayed both locally and internationally with a string of awards for his exceptional work including the Grand prize at the Youth Exhibition by Qatar Fine Arts Association in 2003 and the Second International Mini Art Exhibition for visual arts by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Qatar during 2015. Masoud’s work knows no boundaries, showcasing in Paris, London, Morocco and Cuba, his work is loved by many across the world as he cemented his name as a dynamic artist across waters.
Art 29 is an exciting platform that showcases works of up and coming local, regional and international artists in an aim to nurture creativity & inspiration.
