Tokyo Design Studio will release a 574 iteration with a nod towards New Balance’s running heritage, on Friday, May 14th, 2021.
New Balance’s iconic 574 gets a revamping, with Tokyo Design Studio’s reinterpretation of the brand’s most popular model.
The new model, named TDS 574, will be released for the first time ever. Unbound by the constraints of categories like ‘sneaker’ or ‘dress shoe’, the shoe stands alone. Open to interpretation and endless styling possibilities, this fresh take on the 574 mimics the originality of the wearer. Dressed up or dressed down, the timeless footwear seamlessly moulds to your personal style. A modern-day classic sculpted to perfection and sculpted to you.
Staying true to New Balance footwear’s classic design code, the contemporary reinterpretation also provides exceptional comfort, resulting from high-quality design and cutting-edge technology. The upper retains the New Balance 574’s classic design code, based on the tip, saddle and foxing structure. Commonly used in dress shoes, distinctive double edge detailing runs around the base of the shoe, teasing the line between sneaker and shoe. The traditional N logo has been boldly removed from the side of the shoe, moving beyond the conventions of New Balance footwear to present a neutral, modern look.
The shoe also features a new ripple sole, jointly developed with Vibram. Bold and contemporary in its aesthetic, it boasts both visual and practical appeal. With exceptional cushioning and grip, it caters to the demands of city dwellers braving all types of conditions.
Experts in footwear craftsmanship, New Balance’s approach inspired the development of TDS apparel, which pairs classic style with the comfort of functional materials. The collection is complete with garment-dyed, heavyweight, dry cut and sewn pieces, with exceptional attention to detail. This release features two tops and one pair of pants, adorned with unisex patterns and flattering silhouettes.
The 574 TDS will be exclusive to SNKR store in Kuwait and will retail for KD 75.
