On the 28th of March, LA-based non-profit organization, The Teal Society celebrated its first anniversary at one of Qatar’s favourite boho-chic dining spot, Boho Social. The celebration included the announcement of the upcoming virtual 5km walk campaign “Walk With Teal” and The Teal Totes which are self-care bags which will be sent out to gynecological cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Abiding by the COVID rules and regulations, the celebration welcomed over 60 guests including a number of Qatar’s top industry influencers and social media personalities including Joujou Al Fardan, Johara Al Suwaidi, Zarina Mohammed, Mari Pearce, Yezenia Navarro, and Hamad Al Amari.
Introducing the first of its kind to kick-off in Qatar, the #WalkWithTeal campaign will launch mid-May and it encourages those who support gynecological cancer to record themselves completing a 5km walk in any location they prefer and sending it in to stitch it along with the fellow supporters of the campaign. The Teal Society is even offering a campaign t-shirt which you can wear and dedicate your walk to a specific person, group, or establishment. The t-shirts are available on https://www.bonfire.com/walkwithteal-campaign160/
“The goal of #WalkWithTeal is to unify those who are directly, and indirectly, affected by any of the forms of gynecological cancer. Creating a supportive community near and far is a crucial part of our DNA as a non-profit organization and this is only the beginning of many more to come...” Said Nickii Jean, Founder of The Teal Society. “Our aim is to uplift one another through these difficult times and uphold our integrity as a supportive community.”
The Teal Totes will be available for purchase on our website www.thetealsociety.org starting June.
The Teal Society continues to soar higher with each activation which serves as a testament to the main aim and vision of this 501 C3 organization.
