PERUVIAN RESTAURANT “COYA” TO OPEN IN DOHA

The award-winning luxury lifestyle group is set to open its doors at the W Doha Hotel and Residences this coming February. Risen from the Peruvian Andes to the Amazon rainforest, COYA’s reputation for being the ultimate luxury dining destination combined with the W Doha Hotel and Residences’ unmatched standard of providing phenomenal guest experiences, shall together raise the bar for signature hospitality and culinary brilliance in Qatar.

Inspired by both South-American culture and Incan heritage, the contemporary decor and modern architecture of COYA is designed by the well-known London studio SAGRADA. Spread over 500 square meters and divided in three exquisitely designed sections, COYA Doha has a socially distanced capacity of up to 150 guests, with a Ceviche counter, elevated terrace, two lounges and a private smoking dining area that shall be open for both lunch and dinner.

Born from traditional Peruvian cuisine, COYA’s menu is a display of their signature sharing plates that are created using Japanese, Chinese and Spanish cooking techniques. Highlights from the COYA Doha menu shall include Atun Nikkei - yellowfin tuna served with sesame seeds and pickled cucumber; Arroz Nikkei - Chilean sea bass served with rice, lime and chilli; and Lomo de Res - spicy beef fillet served with crispy shallots, aji limo and star anise.

COYA is not only a place to fine dine, but also a space for creatives to showcase their talent in offering exclusive cultural music events and art exhibitions. In addition to tantalizing taste buds, the COYA vibe extends to music as well; with resident DJs playing a great mix of afro-house, downtempo and tribal beats that complement both food and ambience.

“It is a very exciting time for COYA at the moment. Owing to its brilliant success in COYA Mykonos, the pop-up in Gstaad will be reopening this December for the second year in a row. The restaurant business today is about creating great food and presenting an even greater experience. The secret is to be surrounded by a team who shares your vision and ambition. This, I believe, is truly the key to being successful. And so, I encourage the team globally in providing the best possible service one can give” says Olivier Flamant, Global CEO of COYA.

After a sterling success in London, Monte Carlo, Paris and Mykonos, COYA is now ready to set the culinary scene ablaze with the colors and flavors of Latin America in Qatar, this winter.
