OUR SUSTAINABLE JOURNEY
Our conscious care for the world has been ongoing since our beginnings in the early ’70s, staying true to our founders’ belief that luxury and sustainability work hand-in-hand. We were one of the first in the UK to never test on animals and have remained entirely cruelty free from the very start. Our formulas are 100% vegetarian and 97% of our products are vegan* – we’ll be a 100% vegan manufacturer in 2022.
We strive to take an ethical approach with every practice. Our Elsenham manufacturing facility is carbon neutral. Since 2016, it’s been powered by renewable electricity, while 97% of its waste is recycled, with an ambition to reach 100% by 2025. Our Bath, Body and Hand collection bottles are manufactured from 50% recycled PET – erasing disposable beauty step by step.
GLASS BOTTLE AND REFILL COLLECTION
As part of our dedicated efforts to protect our planet, we’re incredibly proud to introduce our new refillable program, with the launch of a reusable glass bottle and Refill pouches.
A plastic-free alternative that is both long-lasting and elegant, our new 200ml glass pump bottle has the same design as our Fine Liquid Hand Wash bottle. With our recognisable, bespoke Boston Round shape and iconic lens, the logo is printed with high- lustre silver ink for a more refined finish. It is crafted from thick-cut glass, which is not only 100% recyclable, but has a durable, weighted base, for a beautiful feel that you’ll cherish forever.
You can replenish this divine glass bottle time and time again with our new 600ml Refills, currently available in our three iconic, bestselling fragrances: Orange & Bergamot, Delicious Rhubarb & Rose and Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel for the Fine Liquid Hand Wash Refill, and Re-charge Black Pepper, Coastal Cypress &. Sea Fennel and Fiery Pink Pepper for the Bath & Shower Gel Refill. Our refills reduce single-use plastic and waste as 63% less plastic has been used to make this refill pouch in comparison to our standard bottles.
As our sustainable commitments grow, our refillable program will evolve to include more fragrances and categories.
