Maison Boucheron is proud to once again be part of the Only Watch project this year. For the 2019 edition of the charity auction, Boucheron has created a unique jewellery timepiece Ajourée Amvara.
Ajourée Amvara takes its name from the Sanskrit word for infinite space, “amvara”. To symbolize this idea of infinity, the watch features an endlessly entwined snake which surrounds the delicate white mother-of-pearl dial. 166 round diamonds are set along the top of the snake’s yellow and white gold body, a tremendous technical feat due to the curved form. A silver satin strap completes the piece.
Representing both happiness and grace, the snake is an important symbol at Maison Boucheron. Frederic Boucheron once offered a snake necklace to his beloved wife, as the promise of a happy life together; from that moment, the snake became a sign of protection in Boucheron jewellery. The snake has never left the Maison and is now like a talisman, effortlessly adapted through all artistic trends, changes and technical innovations.
Alongside the Ajourée Amvara timepiece, the Maison Boucheron is pleased to offer a unique experience in its historical address, 26, place Vendôme.
We are pleased to invite you for a special night inside Boucheron’s Family House, located at the heart of the place Vendôme. On this occasion, our private apartments located on the second floor will be all yours.
