GIVENCHY UNVEILS SPECIAL EDITIONS OF THE SIGNATURE 4G BAG FOR FALL-WINTER 2021

Givenchy’s 4G, the new statement handbag by Creative Director Matthew M. Williams, is being unveiled in key colors and treatments for Fall-Winter 2021.

Named after the iconic emblem, the 4G pays tribute to founder Hubert de Givenchy’s love of symmetry while showcasing the cosmopolitan attitude Matthew M. Williams has defined for the House. Its architectural structure is a feat of form, function and savoir-faire, reflecting Givenchy artisans’ expertise in bringing together the finest leathers with the Creative Director’s vision and luxurious approach to industrial hardware

This season, the 4G comes in two new formats — the versatile, genderless mini-Vertical crossbody bag that accommodates the essentials, and a new version of medium chain shoulder bag with space-enhancing gussets. These additions join the 4G family of essential crossbodies and chain bags in timeless, rich hues of forest green and chestnut as well as fresh accent shades of lilac and ivory.

In a sophisticated and modern take on Matthew M. Williams’ aesthetic for Givenchy, the 4G comes in a modern padded leather version inspired by the allure of biker bombers and Fifties-era car seats. Its perfectly geometric grooving and padded effect are achieved through an intricate process of high-frequency wave techniques and electro-welding, resulting in a cool attitude, in either matte black, patent leather or leather and canvas. Additional finishes, such as a debossed 4G monogram on patent leather, silver 4G embossed leather, shiny python, or 4G suede with a shearling flap round out the offer.

The 4G styles for Fall-Winter 2021 will drop in phases starting on August 13th (Vertical), September 17th (most colors and styles) and October 15th (chestnut, shearling and padded leather versions).

Prices: Vertical crossbody from 790 €; 4G flap crossbody from 1,290€ to 1,690€; 4G chain bag from 1,390€ to 1,890€; 4G in python, 3,190€, 4G in shearling 2 390 €.
