The three significant accolades went to the all-new Mitsubishi XFORCE and Mitsubishi L200:

Mitsubishi Motors Middle East & Africa (MMMEA) is thrilled to announce that it has been honored with three prestigious accolades at the 2024 “Arab Car of the Year” (ARABCOTY).

The all-new Mitsubishi XFORCE/Outlander Sport was named “Best Compact SUV,” while the sixth-generation Mitsubishi L200 secured two ARABCOTY awards alone: “Best Mid-size Pickup” and “Best Regional Launch.”

Yoshiki Masuda, Global Product Marketer at Mitsubishi Motors Corporation; Walid Rashed, Vice President at Mitsubishi Motors Middle East & Africa; and Alen Bedrossian, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Mitsubishi Motors Middle East & Africa, received the prestigious awards during an award ceremony that took place on November 20th at the luxurious Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha, Qatar—a gala event featuring an audience of motoring journalists, industry insiders, and car dealers.

The Arab Car of the Year (ARABCOTY) awards are among the most sought-after accolades given in the automotive industry in the Middle East, highlighting the finest vehicles in design, performance, safety, and technology. Organized by Maqina Middle East, one of the region's leading automotive magazines, the ARABCOTY awards rely on rigorous testing and evaluation by a panel of world-class motoring journalists and car enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds and countries. This year’s ceremony recognized outstanding vehicles across 20 categories, celebrating the best cars in each segment.

Commenting on the triple win, Mr. Yoshiki Masuda said: “These awards are a testament to Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to delivering exceptional products that meet the diverse needs of our customers across the Middle East and Africa. These accolades are a result of our focus on product and design excellence, combined with our customer-centric approach.”

At a gala event in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, the all-new sixth-generation L200 was introduced to the Middle East, with a robust and tough exterior design, advanced and comfortable interior, and impressive off-road prowess. The sixth-generation L200 was named “Best Light Truck” at the 2024 Saudi National Auto Awards, solidifying its position as a leader in the mid-size pickup segment and in the same ceremony as well, Mitsubishi L200 was awarded for the Best Car launch in 2024.

The all-new Mitsubishi XFORCE, also known as the Outlander Sport, was launched in the region a few weeks ago featuring a bold, elegant design, with a wide range of luxurious amenities.

Further underscoring the two vehicles’ achievements, both the all-new XFORCE/Outlander Sport and the L200 were the winners of the 2024 iF Design Award for Product Design.

“Envisioned as a celebration of Rolls-Royce design in miniature, creating Cameo was a wonderful creative challenge. The purity and abstract nature of the form empowered us to distil the fundamental principles of Rolls‑Royce styling into a playful sculptural piece. Cameo is crafted to captivate and delight, enabling our clients to enjoy the marque’s peerless craftsmanship and artistry in their own homes.”

Yohan Benchetrit, Bespoke Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars presents Cameo, an exquisite miniature sculpture inspired by the marque’s heritage, capturing the essence of Rolls-Royce motor cars in their most elegant form.

The silhouette of this unique collector’s item is an homage to the open-top motor cars built by Rolls-Royce in its earliest years, while the materials and construction of the model parallel the way motor cars are handcrafted at the Home of Rolls Royce at Goodwood today.

The model is made up of a series of individual, highly engineered pieces carefully and meticulously designed for self-assembly. Made from a number of the same materials as the marque’s full-sized motor cars, the owner can enjoy the tactile experience of assembling their very own Rolls-Royce motor car.

The body is constructed by fitting together two sections made from solid oak and polished aluminium, recreating the traditional Rolls-Royce two-tone finish. The oak body magnetically attaches to the aluminium chassis, emulating the stage in the Goodwood assembly journey known as the ‘marriage’, when the body is mounted to the drivetrain. This significant moment in the creation of a Rolls-Royce motor car is one that many clients choose to view in person, therefore it was only fitting this production milestone be referenced in Cameo.

Next, the meticulously engineered interior is installed. These pieces are 3D-printed and trimmed in the same Rolls-Royce leather used in full-size motor cars. Other authentic details include the self-levelling wheel centre caps, which allow the ‘RR’ monogram to remain upright as the wheels turn. Finally, the Cameo driver takes their rightful place in the cockpit, ready to embark on a journey in luxury and style.

This extraordinary expression of Rolls-Royce in miniature form is now available in Rolls-Royce showrooms and Private Office boutiques.
